What is it we actually do?It's quite a simple procedure, really. Find us somewhere in the vicinity of St. Louis City in our concrete office. Some of the spots we frequent are the Grove neighborhood, downtown bus stops, Tower Grove Park, the Central West End, the Loop, South Grand, Forest Park, and myriad celebrations, cultural events, festivals, etc. You'll know it's us when you spot someone atop an Oriental rug, hunched walleyed over an antique typewriter. We go to town, for the town. We take pride in satisfying a variety of tastes & personalities.
How it works:
1) Come to us with an idea, topic, story, person, or even object.
2) Tell us as little or as much about these things as you'd like.
3) Wait about 5 minutes for your poem, or give us your mailing address and we will mail you a fresh poem within the week.
4) Tell everyone you know about this concept.
Decent idea, but legitimate?
Yes. Not once have we ever recycled any poetry, whatsoever. What you get is thoroughly genuine & done right there on-the-spot. Furthermore, please know that any sort of financial gain is the farthest thing from what the poets at Fresh Poetry, Ink. care about. We have "real" jobs. This isn't a panhandling of poems; it's what we love to do. Also, there is no underhanded motive to this organization. It is not a means to an end. It is a means for the sake of the means itself: poetry.
